Hello, how ya doin?

I'm still here. Thought I'd get with times and start using my fancy phone to update the blog.

I catch the train to work now which is a bit over 2 hours round trip which was a pain at first but I've been using the time now to knock over heaps of books and knit.

At the moment I'm knitting my sister a scarf for Christmas.

I'm on holidays from the end of this week until 8th of Jan as my office shuts down over the holidays. Should get a few A-Towns done.

Of Our Elaborate Plans, The End

Final few days of the 365 project. Thought I would be able to finish of the whole project by posting everyday. Obviously that plan fell through.

A staple for my High School lunches was a frozen Orchy bucket. Ma works at Little Bro's canteen so I am still able to get my fix. In preparation for the coming run I thought I should stock up on 'ice bricks' to keep my pre and post run snacks cool.

Bit of a pain to eat - 08/02

Maybe I'll write a more in-depth post about this at a later date. Basically I have been wearing this around my wrist for a year. I'm aware that it is a just a length a wool by I have managed to instill so much emotion and meaning into wearing it that I do feel a bit odd when I have to take it off (mainly Netball related).

Loopsy - 09/02

Got the Laser serviced. This gave me the opportunity to hang about King St and do a few things I have never found the time for. Such as a visit to A Coffee and a Yarn in Newtown. There is some knitting supplies there with wool and books. I just wanted to sit down have a coffee and get some done on a scarf that I had been working on for awhile. E gave me the wool over a year ago, a wool she had dyed herself and I wanted to make a good scarf for myself with. It has been on needles for at least 6 months. They have lesson and a drop-in style assistance thing every second Wednesday.

Stockinette - 10/02

With the run the next day I thought it best I do absolutely nothing. Lay about and did some reading of some books that have been sitting on my table for ages. I got this books as a 2009 Christmas present from P. So far it is good. A little violent, didn't know what I was expecting though.

Capote - 11/02

I took the first photo of this project at the opening ceremony of 2010 Chinese New Year Celebrations. So maybe I should have ended this project on the 11th February. I think it would be more exciting to finish off with a more momentous event like a 5km run with 10 obstacles through mud. The Warrior Dash had it's first Australian event at Glenworth Valley on the 12th and I thought I'd give it a good Aussie Go!

It was hard! I found it pretty hard anyway. I didn't do any training because of my injuries in the past few weeks. I think I found it particularly hard because I don't really like to run, I get bored, the only way I find I can power on is by listening to music. Electronic equipment not exactly advisable when you have to walk through mud and swim across creeks, although some ran their cameras anyway.

Some random Warriors - 12/02

I think I may do it next year... perhaps. Def will train leading up to it and not wear long pants next time. Not exactly definite plans but I'll put it on the To Do list.

Now to figure what to do with the blog for the next post

Secret Squirrels

I'm knitting a scarf for a friends birthday it is my first 'pattern'. A friend who reads the blog on occasion.

Knits and purls - 09/08

Not really a pattern. I just changed the stitches so it would looks nice but not all pattern-y and old lady-ish. I think I am cutting it fine.

please stand up

That massive bag of needles from my Nan is getting sorted! The large pile in the bottom part of the pic is 'misc'... needles without a mate.

My sanity in my piles - 14/07

I did like sorting them, going through stuff my Nan and her Ma had bought. I have kept but a few for myself. Hope my system will be understood.

A bit of street art in Newtown that I thought was quite nice.

'Love Stinks' - 15/07

I was trying to keep to a post everyday but it is proving a little difficult for some reason. Not all posts are posted on the date that I errr post them... hmmm. I backdate at times.... shady I know. How on earth can I be trusted.

On the Road Again...

Massive week. Many a kilometre driven.

Went to Bathurst on Thursday afternoon to start the another 'A-Town' block with P. Doesn't seem to matter how early you try to get out of Sydney Parra Rd will always try and hold you up.

Parramatta Road - 08/07

Up early on Sun to drive about the Central West. This photo taken from the passenger seat of the Silver Bullet, whilst P was driving, outside of Cudal.

Tried to get some livestock in there... - 09/07

Went and saw my Nan T and helped her out with her computer and other things. In return I got some old cord piping, patterns, fabric and a gigantic bag of needles to sort through!! These were My Little Nana's and Nan has added to it a bit... I was after 6mm needles.

Needles - 10/07

Drive back after epic weekend of doing seven A-Towns for a total of 945Km.

The Beast - 11/07

Another fuckin dinner post! This time I actually made something. Well, I actually made the honey soy sauce and added Tempeh to the usual dinner I make. I also made a batch of Lemon Butter. That is a little hard to photograph though, just looks like a yellow jar really.

May need some lessons on plating up - 12/07

I will be starting up another blog soon just for the A-Town travel thing. I thought it would be too much all on the same one. Stuck on a name... have only had six months to think of a name. Will probably be something highly creative like 'A-Towns'!

In other news my camera has decided to really prove the point that I repel technology by allowing me to take 20 photos and not returning from 'view' so I have to turn it off each time only to not even save the photos to the card.

Turned on some music to start my day, I lost myself in a familiar song

My week in photos... I ate and that was pretty much it.

A shop in Stanmore has found that extra few hours in a week.

27/04

Dinner Roast Pumpkin, Brown Lentils and Ricotta... will make again (already did actually).

I don't like ricotta, a 'nothing' cheese. A different brand maybe? - 28/04

Using up my leftover Sultana Bran. Did not keep well, make again with nothing on top.

Extra sultanas added that blew up to grapes - 29/04

Newtown station and a bands steals electricity. A guy is milling about as lookout I assume.

funk style band - 30/04

The Al Pitcher Picture Show. Takes daily photos of the town he is in and uses that for his comedy show. Highly recommended. Got a weird look from ticket man who was confused by my one ticket????

 at The Factory - 01/05

I got 'rookie of the month'. Haven't pick up my prize as yet. I think I just get a certificate. Pretty impressive considering a lot of people I have talked have only been there a month and I broke the dishwasher last week.

Other names crossed out as I signed a form not to blog about my work with the company - 02/05

Sunset in Vaucluse - 02/05

Major headache. Felt really rundown so didn't go into uni. Headache got progressively worse so couldn't do what I had planned which was knitting and uni work. Instead I watched DVDs and felt threw myself about my bed feeling sorry for myself. Pushing Daises is hilarious.

Knitting whilst watching a doco on Tupac and Biggie will have to wait - 03/05

Things to do and stuff

I have many things 'on the go'. Mainly it is sewing or craft stuff, books and The List.

Things are becoming a little crazy though. Items are being added, but nothing is taken off.

I have 10 books on my bedside to read. The top 4 are borrowed, and have been for many months. I really want to read these books, but am finding that I have crap time management. Am also back at uni so have weekly readings to do to though.

The stack - 08/03
I have read st least the first chapter of all of these books. The longest gone unread is the one at the bottom. I bought it when I was living in Leichhardt in 2004, sheesh. It even had a bus ticket in there.
Along with books is my need to create. Started knitting as it is easier then having to drag out my overflowing fabric box and machine. Just need to stop putting things on needles and cast-off.
Two scarves - 08/03
